Here is a list of frequently asked questions. If you can't find your answer please feel free to email us at info@ezyroller.com. Please always remember that child's safety is paramount and always supervise kids; NEVER let them use their Ezyroller near car.

Q: How does it move? A: The EzyRoller like similar toys in its category uses a locomotion principle called cambering motion. It uses a simple left/right movement (in our case created by the legs pushing on the moving front bar) to create an action/reaction very similar to the one used by snakes. If you were to look on the ground at the marks left by an EzyRoller it would look like a sinus curve.

Q: Which surfaces does it work on? A: EzyRoller will work on most surfaces except grass and sand. It also usually work on heavy carpets thanks to its high resistance polyurethane wheels

Q: Does it need a slope to work? A: No. Its motion principle enables to work on flat sections. It is actually not designed for slopes and we strongly advise NOT to use it on slopes. Also when it is used on slopes, your kid will then use the hand brake which will make a flat on the wheel and very quickly you'll need to change the wheels...

Q: From what age can you EzyRoller? A: Most often children can use it as young at 3. They need to be at least 3'3" tall to be able to steer with their feet.

Q: How much do they cost? A: An EzyRoller usually retails between $US 99-119 ($NZ-AU119-149) depending on local taxes and shipping costs. For spare wheels, they are standard 4x1 (100x24mm) scooter wheels that are usually availble from any good sport sport near shop (or even most larger retailer have them); otherwise we have some replacement ones for sale. They are $3 each.

Q: What is the maximum size? A: Thanks to its patented extendable design it can actually be used by teenagers or adults up to 6'.

Q: Is there a weight limit? A: We recommend a maximum weight of 150 lbs. Although it has been tested for safety requirements for higher weight (464 lbs...!) we never had very heavy kids playing on it for hours on it; since it is a heavy duty toy we prefer to recommend a maximum weight of 150 lbs which we know works.

Q: Where is it made? A: Initially we were manufacturing in our garage in New Zealand but quickly we had to switch to Asia...Of course it is cheaper to manufacture there but the main argument for us was that basically there was no manufacturer in New Zealand that has the industrial capacity to make enough units.
Workers in our factories are young but there is NO CHILD LABOUR (I know because I go there every month or so). Like at home, parents send their kids to school to get good grades and get ahead in life. Anyway wherever you go, you get the quality you pay for.
And we don't compromise on that. Our factory in China is ISO9001 and has more than 20 year experience in similar products. Honestly we get a better quality than in New Zealand...because there you can do things that would be prohibitively expensive to do at home or that people don't know how to do any more.

At the moment we are looking at suppliers that are closer to our markets in the US and Europe to reduce carbon footprint; if you are in Mexico or Eastern Europe, don't hesitate to contact us!

Q: Is the EzyRoller patented or protected in some ways? A: Yes our model is patented and our Ezyroller trademark is also registered. Our patent number in New Zealand is 408971 and D582,992 in the USA and we have patents pending in several other countries including Europe and China. Having a successfull product, that is made in Asia ,can expose us to a lot of intellectual property issues. We know that unauthorized copies of our products will arrive to your market from time to time; even if they look like the real thing, they are NOT and can be potentially hazardous for your kids. We put a lot of time in research and development to always improve our products and we actively enforce our rights. If you have any information regarding fraudulentcopies please contact us on +649 623 0123 or denis@ezyroller.com and we will reward your honesty accordingly!

Q: Do you have some examples of games? A: There is virtually no limit to our kids imagination. So these activities are in no way trying to limit their creativity but more to foster some new ones! Kids can play with one EzyRoller and compete together or make matches if they have 10.
We have split our activities between activities you need
one EzyRoller and the ones you require one per kid.
Examples of Games with one EzyRoller:

- The simplest and still super exciting: EzySlalom and Agility.
What you need:
A large flat area (tennis court, sports ground...)
Some plots (sports cones, balls...) for the course
A chronometer to time your mates

What to do:
1) Place the cones on the ground and set a start/finish line
2) Place yourself behind the start line
3) Slalom between the obstacles without touching them
4) the winner is the one that is fastest at crossing the line without touching the obstacles. Depending on the difficulty
of the course you can think of penalties for touching the obstacles

How to improve: Find the best trajectory first before focusing on speed

You can have a team against another one, trying to make a relay and see who is fastest
When you touch, you go around the obstacle. You can go around the block as fast as possible and time yourself!

Exemple of Games with multiple EzyRollers:

- EzyHockey game.
What you need:
A large flat area (tennis court, sports ground...)
2 teams of 3 kids at least.More if you have a big court.
Some goal posts.
A ball.

What to do:
1) Make 2 even teams
2) Like at hockey or soccer, you can pass the ball directly
3) Score in the post

How to improve:
Try to have a defense and attack team with more a specialized striker.

If you have some small hockey set then use a smaller ball. You can't throw the ball backwards.
You can only throw the ball backwards. Use American football rules with a quarterback!

Q: Is there a warranty? A: Yes.There is a 6 months warranty on the EzyRoller from date of purchase. This doesn't cover the elements that can wear and tear (wheels, grips...)

Q: Do you carry spare parts? A: Yes. We do sell wheels and all the parts to make an EzyRoller if you were to lose anything. Sorry we haven't yet a complete website to purchase them online but just denis@ezyroller.com and I will try to fix any spare parts issue quickly!
